Enterprise Data Hub, also known as an EDH, is a large-scale data repository or center where enterprise organizations can store, manage, and protect their data. It is typically used to consolidate, acquire, cleanse, control, integrate and analyze disparate datasets and relational databases. By utilizing a data hub, businesses can reduce cybersecurity risks and achieve a consolidated, single view of customer data.
The Enterprise Data Hub typically involves the use of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to discover relationships between data pieces, incorporate new data sources and enhance existing ones, and to conform and exchange data. It also provides the architecture to store and manage data from a large variety of sources effectively.
The hub typically consists of four components: data integration, data quality, master data management (MDM) and data warehousing.

It enables a user to perform ETL (Extract-Transfer-Load) operations to take the data and transfer it into the hub.

•Master Data Management (MDM) stores and manages the common reference information for the organization so that it can be used and shared across the whole business. It creates a `single version of the truth’ which helps to maintain consistency and accuracy.
•Data Warehousing is a repository of data that holds a record of information from different sources. It stores all the data in one centralized location thus making it easier to analyze large volumes of data and generate useful insights.
